I have been singing since I was a little boy. I grew up listening to my granny's music: Old School , R&B and Gospel. The very first song I learned the lyrics to was Johnnie Taylor's "Soul Heaven" and song it ALL the time to anyone who wanted to hear it!
The past three years, I performed with the Creekview High School Choir. Freshman year, I was a member of the Men Concert Choir and A Cappella choir my sophomore and junior years. Both singing groups won numerous awards. But that came to an end when trying to jungle the demand of football obligations and my choir concert schedule. Senior year I had to choose between my love for football and passion for singing. Now, like basketball, singing has become my leisure time hobby.
My brother and teammate Larce and I have known each other since grade school and been performing as a duet since middle school.
Larce playing the piano and compositing music and me singing and writing lyrics. Our spare time, we spend hours, sometimes through the wee hours of the morning trying to get a song right. Me practically living at Larce's house.
The Blake's have three sons instead of two...
Me, Larce and our big brother Spike.
